About
Hello, I'm Stacey
I'm a photographer based in Smoky Bay, South Australia. I've spent time around the ocean since I was a little girl, often out helping my dad on the oyster leases. Time in nature has always expanded my heart. A sunset, or the way light dances across water, still fills me with so much awe.
Photography came into the picture young. At ten I was composing mini shoots with Mum's Olympus camera, dressing my sister and friends in the most insane outfits, beads and blue eyeshadow. Then came trips out to friends' farms with a suitcase packed with our favourite dresses, posing among the tall grass.
I picked up a camera again at 22, bought a Canon and taught myself on YouTube. That's when travel came into my life too, and the raw, rugged and wild beauty of the Western Australian coastline inspired me to capture it in photos and videos.
I believe we are all uniquely beautiful, with a magnificent energy within us that truly shines when it's celebrated. My sessions are a fun, relaxed way to creatively express and honour yourself, whether that's a storyboarded concept or you in your favourite blue jeans.

I'm building my skills in the water through workshops, so surf photography and video sessions will be here soon.
Your gallery is ready within 1 week of your session. Sessions more than 3 hours from Smoky Bay may include a $100 travel fee, though I always try to plan around upcoming interstate travel so you don't have to cover extra costs.
Location
We'll choose a spot together that feels like you: beach, bush or somewhere special to you.
Your vision
If you have inspiration, we'll put together a storyboard so we share the same vision going in.
Outfits & props
I can absolutely help source props and offer guidance on outfits and styling. Remember, these photos are for you: your essence, your style. If you want to get whimsical and hunt down that long flowing dress, we'll find it! But don't let it overwhelm you, hahah. If your session is simply you in your blue jeans, that is magnificent too.

I know this can feel scary. We'll talk about what you love to highlight, and I'll make sure you feel comfortable so your beauty can shine.

Good questions
How do I book?
Use the booking form at the bottom of the page to send me the session you'd love and your ideal location. I'll reply with my available dates, we'll choose one together, and once your $150 deposit is paid your date is secured and we start planning.
Can I pay it off?
Absolutely. After the $150 deposit, the remainder can be paid off weekly in a flexible way that suits you, with the balance due on the day of your session.
I'm nervous about posing. Is that okay?
Completely. We'll talk about what you love to highlight about yourself, and I'll guide you the whole way so you feel comfortable.
What should I wear?
Whatever feels like you. I can help source props and guide you on outfits and styling, whether that's a long flowing dress or your favourite blue jeans.
Will my photos be shared on social media?
Only if you're comfortable with it. When I send your gallery, I'll ask whether you're happy for me to share images from it on social media. You can say yes, let me know your favourites you'd love shared, or keep your gallery completely private. Whatever you choose is absolutely fine, and you can change your mind at any time.
Can I buy a session as a gift?
Absolutely. Tick "This is a gift" on the booking form and I'll send you the payment details. Once paid, I'll email you a personalised gift card to give her, and she can book whenever she's ready. Gift cards are valid for 3 years.
What happens if the weather turns?
Our sessions are outdoors, so I keep a close eye on the forecast. If the weather looks unsafe or wild, I'll reach out the day before and we'll move your session to a new date at no cost. Your deposit simply moves with you.
When will I get my photos?
Your online gallery is ready within 1 week of your session, for viewing and download.
Do you travel?
Yes. Sessions more than 3 hours from Smoky Bay may include a $100 travel fee. I always try to plan around upcoming interstate travel so you don't have to cover extra costs.
What if I need to cancel or change my date?
For South Australian sessions, there's no charge with at least 2 days' notice. For interstate sessions where travel has been organised, please let me know as early as possible, and no later than 4 days before. Cancel within these timeframes and your deposit is fully refunded. Change your date and your deposit moves with you, with final payment due on your new session day. No-shows without any communication are charged half the session cost.
